Glitter Ring

Thursday, 31 January 2013

Wanna make this gorgeous ring? It's easy! You just need glitter, mod podge, a paintbrush, a ring and a hoop. Just so you know *EXACTLY* what I'm talking about, here's a photo:
Glue the hoop onto the ring with some kind of super glue (I used epoxy). Mix equal amounts of mod podge and glitter together, use any color you love (blue's my favorite color but I'm desperate to try fluro pink!). Scoop the mixture into the hoop and dry upright. It dries completely hard and flat, so maybe try swirling it up a bit if you want more texture x

PS: The nail polish I'm wearing in the photo is a gorgeous OPI one from the new 007 Skyfall collection. It's called "The World Is Not Enough"!

Dazzlingly gorgeous ;)

I was cleaning out my room the other day and I found these glasses in the bottom of my draw (that's where most of the treasures are found) and all down the sides the paint was peeling. So after doing a bit of reading on the web, I found something to do with them. Glitter them! I am a fan of glitter and mod podge so I can't go wrong, right? It was as simple as pie: paint the sides with mod podge, sprinkle glitter on them, and then wait to dry.

Now, if there is anyone for making mistakes it's me (classic cinnamon instead of cocoa when making a cake), but nothing went wrong! They turned out great! Just paint another layer of mod podge on top of the glitter and voila ;)

Hearts On The Wall

I made these cute hearts to decorate my room, there was a bare wall so I thought why not hang something gorgeous on it? I made them exactly like pin cushions, and sewed the letters d r e a m on them (you can't see it in the photos)

Are they cute or what?? (the little bird was actually a Christmas decoration!)

They're so easy to make, and with choosing the fabrics you can go crazy with colors! x
