Fabric Flowers

So here's a mini tutorial on how to make fabric flowers. They are perfect for sewing on to t shirts, headbands, necklaces, and more. I was especially enchanted with the idea of floral head crowns!  

 

First cut out a circle (it doesn't have to be perfect).

 

 

Then fold it in half...

 







 Then fold it in half again so it looks like the photo above.

Repeat this whole process and stick the two pieces of folded fabric together so it looks like the photo above.

 

And voila! Finish xx

Knot Headband

So here's a super easy tutorial on how to make a stylish knot headband. Let's get to it.

You need some material and scissors (also maybe a needle and thread if you want to sew the ends together).

 Measure the material around your head and cut two strips that length. Cross them over!

Fold the strips over in half, so it looks like the picture above. That's the hardest part done!





So that's basically it....easy, right? I usually just tie the ends together, but if you can be bothered, sewing the ends together is great too. Thanks for reading, please comment and tell me what you think, and have a great day! x

 

Bored Jar

Hey! So this bored jar is basically for when you have NO IDEA what to with yourself, and need some fun. It's super easy and it sends the Boredom Monster running for the hills ;)

You need:
-a jar
-some stuff to decorate it
-some craft paper

So it's this easy: Decorate your "bored jar" with ribbons, craft paper, etc. Then cut the craft paper into little pieces of paper, and on each piece write a crazy and fun dare. For example, "bake a cake", "do 50 star jumps", "do your hair crazy and take selfies", "make a music video", etc. Make up your own random ones! Fold up these little bits of paper (kind of like in fortune cookies) and put them in the jar. Then whenever you're feeling B.O.R.E.D, pick random bits of paper from the jar and do them! (I dare you).

Easy Squeezy Lemonade

I often find myself in need of a cold glass of lemonade on hot sunny days. Doesn't everyone?? That's why I thought I'd share this recipe. So instead of searching for that piece of paper with the old traditional method on it, just try this and tell me what you think :) I guarantee you won't go wrong with sugar, lemon juice and water!

This recipe makes 20 servings
You need:
1 3/4 cups white sugar
8 cups water
1 1/2 cups lemon juice (freshly squeezed taste best, but as a cheat I sometimes use the bought stuff in the bottle - it still taste good!)

Directions:
1. In a small saucepan, combine sugar and 1 cup of water. Bring to boil and stir to dissolve sugar. Allow to cool and then refrigerate.

2. In a jug stir lemon juice, syrup and remaining 7 cups of water. You can sometimes do this when the syrup is has just cooled, and then leave the whole thing in the fridge until chilled.
